    March 2024 – ongoing

Rust&Research is a card game developed by three doctoral researchers at the Luxembourg Centre for Contemporary and Digital History (C²DH). It explores the transformation of Belval from an industrial site to an academic hub through time travel, key historical and contemporary figures, and strategic play.

Designed for learners aged 12 and up, the game will be available in English and Luxembourgish, and is intended for use in schools and cultural institutions. It encourages curiosity, historical thinking, and friendly competition. Supported by the C²DH Thinkering Grant and additional funding from the FNR’s PSP programme, Rust&Research is set to launch in autumn 2025.

This first announcement offers a glimpse of the visuals. The game will be accompanied by a short how-to-play video and a specially curated educational booklet. Get ready to play later this year!
